Over the last few decades, Denver has become a world class city filled with exciting things to see and do. Downtown Denver visitors can expect to enjoy an awesome restaurant scene, incredible music and night life, and a few unique can’t miss things they can’t do anywhere else. Here are 3 things you have to do in Downtown Denver:
- Get a drink at The Cruise Room- This bar is hidden in a Denver hotel(we can’t tell you where or it wouldn’t be a secret). It was Denver’s first post-prohibition bar, opening the day after the prohibition was repealed in 1933. The Cruise Room carries Art Deco style and is known for its martinis. Jack White of The White Stripes recently filmed a music video here, and is a popular hangout for famous touring musicians.
- Stay the night at The Brown Palace- The Brown Palace has hosted presidents, royalty and The Beatles. It’s Denver’s most storied and beautiful hotel. More than a century old, many people claim the hotel is haunted.
- Take a ride with the Denver Cruisers- On Wednesday nights during the summer, thousands of Denver residents bar hop with their bikes all over the city. It’s a great way to meet people and check out Downtown Denver’s amazing bar scene at the same time.
