Colorado Real Estate News: Developments Redefining Denver

Real estate experts say aspiring home buyers can expect a number of new developments in 2015 and beyond. The latest Colorado real estate news indicates the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners approved the first phase of Sterling Ranch, a community that will begin with 660 single-family homes in northwest Douglas County. But there are other important developments on the horizon as well.

Sterling Ranch

Sterling Ranch will be a big deal for Denver-area residents. According to an article by the Denver Business Journal, once developers complete it in another 20 years, Sterling Ranch will include more than 12,000 homes. The first neighborhood within Sterling Ranch to break ground is Providence Village. The neighborhood will boast a school, recreation center, church, 144 homes and 85 acres of conservation land.

Littleton Village

Other important Colorado real estate news includes the plans for a redevelopment site in Littleton. Century Homes Inc. and Richmond American Homes are the two homebuilders planning to build on a 77-acre redevelopment site previously owned by Marathon Oil. The community will include 461 homes, according to a piece by The Denver Business Journal. The site, named Littleton Village, was the largest one available for development.

Stapleton Neighborhood

Home sales are exceeding expectations in the Stapleton neighborhood in the Denver metro area with the master-planned community recently receiving a high rank. Robert Charles Lesser & Co. ranked the community No. 6 in the country in the category of best-selling communities. Meanwhile a MetroStudy named it the No. 1 best-selling master planned community in the state. In 2014, there were 500 new homes sold in Stapleton, beating projections. One of the largest urban infill projects in the country, Stapleton homes have the traditional front porches. Residents walk to shops and school.
